Mother Charged With Neglect After Child Found Alone

An Evansville woman was charged with neglect when her child was found walking in the street alone.

Evansville Police got the call just before 10 p.m. on Monday that a child was walking in the 3400 block of Taylor Avenue.

The child was wearing only pants that were full of urine.

The child also had a wound on their forehead that looked like a cigarette burn.

The 25-year-old mother, Diasha Dixon, refused to speak with officers regarding the location of her other three children.

Dixon was jailed.
