OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - October 14th is Charlie Kirk’s birthday, and some states and local governments are holding events to celebrate this.

An event was held at the Marion County Veterans Memorial Park in honor of Kirk.

There were some protestors, but mainly people in red shirts and red hats.

The event started at 5:30 with music, and people could buy red shirts that say ‘Freedom’ across the front.

Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on September 10th at Utah Valley University. Since then, many states have remembered Kirk by proclaiming October 14th as Charlie Kirk Remembrance Day, and Marion County officials even dedicated a roadway in his honor.

Some people arrived as early as 3 o’clock to secure a seat and to buy a t-shirt.
