(Gray News) - Heather Hill, an award-winning director for the soap opera “The Young and the Restless,” has died, according to several reports.
She died at the age of 85 at her home in Las Vegas, a family spokesperson confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Hill’s work with “The Young and the Restless” began in 1985 when she was hired as a contract director, according to Variety . She directed hundreds of shows during the 15 years she worked on the show.
From 1988 through 2000, Hill was nominated each year for the Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team Daytime Emmy. She won the award six times, winning in 1988, 1989, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999. Three of those wins she shared with her husband, Randall Hall.
Hill’s career in television began in the 1970s in her home state of New York. She
