Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba's return to the pitch will have to wait a bit longer.
The Frenchman's new club Monaco had been optimistic about him making a comeback against Angers this weekend, or at least against Spurs in their next Champions League outing. But it seems the matches have come too soon.
Pogba hasn't set foot on a football field in over two years, following a ban due to a positive doping test during his stint with Juventus. The ban was shortened on appeal after it was determined that his offence wasn't intentional, and he took his time before deciding Monaco was the best place to resume his career.
There were hopes that a return to form might see the 2018 World Cup champion put himself in the running for the 2026 tournament, having m
