BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —

The trial of Damien McDaniel, accused in the deadly mass shooting at Trendsetters Lounge, has been postponed following a Zoom hearing Tuesday.

McDaniel faces multiple counts of capital murder, and a judge decided to delay the original trial start date set for April.

No new trial date has been announced, but the judge said she hopes it will happen sometime next year.

Four people were fatally gunned down at a birthday party at Trendsetters Lounge last July, and ten people were hurt in the shooting.
