RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) - A Rutland-area child care center has been forced to close its doors after state inspectors discovered what they called serious violations, including allegations of child abuse.
The Vermont Department for Children and Families shut down Sycamore Tree Child Care Center on Cold River Road after multiple visits last week revealed signs of violations. Records show the state found 13 violations ranging from physical abuse to failure to follow staffing and record-keeping requirements.
