Two Northeast Ohio airports will not be playing a controversial U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in which she blames congressional Democrats for the federal government shutdown.
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport said it won’t play the video because it considers it political in nature.
“CLE cannot display the Department of Homeland Security video,” cleveland.com reported. “As a publicly operated facility, CLE is not permitted to display content that could be viewed as political or partisan.”
Akron-Canton Airport said it won’t play the video because the “content does not align with our established policies and guidelines,” according to WKYC.
The video was intended to be played on monitors at Transportation Security Administration checkpoints nationwide.
