Boston firefighters are responding to smoke inside a building on the Boston University Medical Campus in the city's South End on Wednesday.

The Boston Fire Department confirmed companies responded to reports of smoke on multiple floors at a Harrison Avenue address - listed on the BU website as the Houseman Medical Research Center.

The building has been evacuated, firefighters said.
