Sun Valley Community School Cutthroats head girls soccer coach Kelly Feldman noticed a different, more determined mindset from the team in its 2-0 victory over the Buhl Indians on Tuesday at the lower grass field of the Dumke Family Sagewillow Campus in Sun Valley.

“ It’s tournament time,” she said.

“[The players] played the way we’ve always known they can play,” Feldman said.. “It’s a great time to turn it on.”

The Idaho Class 4A High Desert district game victory means the Cutthroats travel to Kimberly to play the Bulldogs on Thursday in the district championship. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. on Thursday.

“If we can go on Thursday to Kimberly and play like that, we can take a win,” Feldman said.

The Cutthroats were led by senior Keeley Strine’s two first-half goals.
