(Gray News) – Ben’s Original has issued a voluntary recall on several rice products due to the possible presence of small stones that may pose a risk of injury, according to a notice posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration .
According to the company, the small stones that may be present in the products are “naturally occurring stones originating from the rice farm.”
If consumed, there is a risk the stones could cause oral or digestive tract injury. There have not yet been any reports of injury or illness connected to the recalled rice products.
The recall is isolated only to the following batches involved in the recall: Ben’s Original Long Grain White with batch codes 533ELGRV22 and 534ALGRV22; Ben’s Original Ready Rice Whole Grain Brown Rice with batch codes 534AMGRV22, 534BM
