CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - High school marching band students from the area will be teaming up with the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Marching Salukis.

Together, they will perform at halftime and in the stands during the Saturday, October 18 football game against North Dakota.

According to SIU School of Music Assistant Director/Professor Christopher Butler, this is the first time the Marching Salukis have incorporated high school students into their performance in several years.

“This event furthers the overall mission of the school of music--to enrich and grow music education and performance throughout southern Illinois,” he said.
