SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Good afternoon, ArkLaTex! A high-pressure system continues to bring us quiet and warm weather through today and the next few days! Highs will reach the middle and upper 80s for most of the region today, with a few areas reaching the lower 90s.

The humidity should remain low through today and the rest of the week. Also, highs will be consistently rising into the 80s and 90s. However, as we head into the weekend, we have the potential to see severe weather.

A cold front will arrive from the west by Saturday afternoon. Cooler and drier air is expected to move in behind the front after it moves through the region.
