WASHINGTON — Snapple is bringing back its iconic glass bottle, but it won't be available everywhere.

The company announced Wednesday that its Snapple drink will be available in its original glass bottles for a limited time only in the New York City area. Snapple began transitioning away from its glass bottles in 2017 , with a complete phase-out in 2021.

"Few things are more nostalgic than the beloved Snapple Glass Bottle. From the famous Snapple Lady to the regular guest spot on Seinfeld episodes, Snapple has been a staple in households for decades," a spokesperson for the company said in a statement.

A spokesperson for the company told TODAY that Snapple brought back the glass bottles in response to a "demand for nostalgia from an OVERWHELMING number of consumers."
