The final report to council from its ad-hoc Grand Trunk renewal committee was delivered Tuesday night with a few questions about that committee’s mandate and mixed reviews on its success from its members.

In particular, the committee members scored themselves low on identifying potential funding opportunities for the ambitious community hub project.

The terms of reference for the committee outlined five items key priorities during its two-year term:

supporting the 2018 Grand Trunk Master Plan;

acting as a sounding board to the city;

identifying fundraising opportunities and supporting fundraising initiatives;

advising and assisting with the development of a public-engagement program while promoting the activities of the Grand Trunk renewal; and
