Flowers Hospital is one of 323 hospitals nationwide and the only hospital in the state to receive an American College of Cardiology award for its higher standard of care for heart attack patients.

The American College of Cardiology’s 2025 Platinum Performance Achievement Award for Chest Pain-MI Registry has been awarded to Flowers, said Steve Gordon, the hospital’s chief executive officer.

The national award recognizes Flowers Hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that the hospital has reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations, Gordon explained.
