LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Las Vegas police released a statement Wednesday regarding why the bus driver who hit and killed a 12-year-old girl hasn't been charged.

A crash report was released Tuesday with details on the crash which occured on Monday, October 6, on West Tropical Parkway when a Clark County School District bus hit Haylee Ryan, a student on her bicycle, headed home from Lied Stem Academy School.

The police report said the bus, driven by a 75-year-old woman who was not identified, contacted the left handlebar on Ryan's bicycle, and the right handlebar hit a stationary vehicle, causing the girl to fall to the ground, where the rear wheels of the bus ran over her.
