SOUTH HURON – A tour throughout the municipality in July gave 18 young people the chance to experience the attractions in their own backyard.

South Huron’s community relations manager, Stacey Jeffery, reported about the July 24 Youth Tourism Experience Day during council’s Oct. 6 meeting. Funded by the county’s Supporting Local Economic Development program, the day saw the participation of youth aged 12 to 19, with the support of six adults.

A bus tour took participants to various locations through the area, including the South Huron council chambers, the Morrison Dam, Eddington’s of Exeter, the Serenity Nature Reserve, the Huron County Playhouse, Southbank Suites and more.
