SUFFOLK, Va. — Suffolk Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus and a cement truck that occurred on Wednesday afternoon. The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. in the 500 block of Hillpoint Boulevard.
The school bus was carrying students from King’s Fork Middle School at the time of the crash. Four children reported injuries. Three were transported by Suffolk Fire & Rescue to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a fourth student was treated and released at the scene.
One adult was also transported to the hospital as a result of the crash.
The driver of the cement truck was issued a summons. Authorities say the investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
