(WKBN) -- Nearly 70 million Americans rely on Medicare. That number includes 2.9 million in Pennsylvania and 2.5 million in Ohio.

Medicare's annual open enrollment is underway. Now is the time to consider changes to coverages or switch plans.

"You can't ignore it, because what was good for you last year may not be the case moving forward," said Danny Day, an insurance agent with Insurance 29.

Part A covers inpatient hospital stays. Part B covers outpatient visits to doctors and specialists, lab work and testing, plus medical equipment. That coverage was $185 a month this year, but is rising to over $200 a month next year.
