MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) - A Goose Creek man faces over 100 counts on several charges in connection with an animal cruelty case.

Quentin Roderick Reid, 42, is charged with 50 counts of rabies control chapter violation and 49 counts of ill treatment of animals with torture.

Deputies received a tip back in July about possible dogfighting activity at a Goose Creek house. Upon arrival, they discovered more than 50 dogs living in “deplorable conditions and evidence consistent with dogfighting.

They also located approximately 118 pounds of marijuana, 4.5 grams of crack, 7.8 grams of cocaine, three stolen guns, four guns, 36 dosage units of a scheduled narcotic and approximately $3,842 in cash. They also seized a 2021 Ram Diesel Cimmings truck.
