SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) -- Savannah Police are investigating an alleged attack during a demonstration to celebrate the ceasefire in Gaza and the release of the remaining Israeli hostages.
A caravan, full of waving Israeli and American flags, was stopped near the intersection of East 37th and Bull street on Monday when the celebration turned violent, according to a participant. That participant wished to keep their name anonymous.
"It was pretty big... We got so much love from people around Savannah," the participant said. "But, sadly, a young woman standing at a red light recognized the Israeli flags, and immediately started slurring and cursing us."
