CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) - A former assistant basketball coach at Clinton Christian Academy was sentenced for sex crimes involving a 14-year-old student-athlete under his supervision.
Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens announced that Willie Alexander, Jr., 50, pled guilty in September 2025 to sexual battery and two counts of exploitation of a minor. Alexander was sentenced to 30 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
On June 14, 2022, the victim’s mother reported to Clinton police that her son disclosed ongoing sexual abuse by Alexander. The student-athlete reported that the abuse had been ongoing for several months at Alexander’s Clinton home.
