CANAAN, Vt. (WCAX) - It’s as far northeast as you can go and still be in Vermont. About 900 people call Canaan home in this town chartered in 1782. With Canada to its north and New Hampshire to its east, it’s one of only two towns in Vermont to border a country and another state (The other is Alburgh.) In this week’s “Vermont’s Own,” Darren Perron visits the Essex County town where community is everything.
