KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The first women's focused sports bar in Kansas City is opening its doors this week.

Prioritizing women's sports is the name of the game at the new sports bar in Kansas City. It’s called The Dub, located in Downtown Kansas City, near 9th and Baltimore.

“It feels like the realization of a dream that's been driving me for a few years now,” owner Monica Brady said.

Standing behind her own bar, Brady is winning. Doors to The Dub officially open Thursday at 2 p.m.

Owners said this is the first women's focused sports bar in Kansas City.
