The Church Street homes of two historically and medically significant Frederick doctors were honored Wednesday with the unveiling of plaques noting their place in history.
Morton Mower is one of the inventors of a type of miniature defibrillator that is implanted into patients with irregular hearth rhythms. The doctor died in 2022, but he grew up in the home at 134 W. Church Street, where one of two plaques was affixed to an exterior wall.
