CLEVELAND, Ohio— Cleveland Ballet is opening its 2025–26 season with a Halloween double feature – “Code of Silence” and Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.” The dances explore the shadows of human experience, both real and imagined. The performances are at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 24 and 1 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25 at Playhouse Square’s Mimi Ohio Theatre.
The pairing balances emotional depth and theatrical drama, while honoring the late choreographer Lynne Taylor-Corbett, a two-time Tony Award nominee who died in January 2025. Taylor-Corbett wrote and choreographed “Code of Silence” and choreographed this version of “Dracula.”
“Performing ‘Code of Silence’ is an homage to Lynne,” said Cleveland Ballet Artistic Director Timour Bourtasenkov. He danced and worked closely with her at Carolina Ballet.
