EDITORIAL: Protect our medical heroes from violence

It doesn’t take a long trip down memory lane to remember who the heroes of the pandemic were.

The doctors and nurses and medical professionals and staff who worked ungodly hours — literally in the face of the most deadly worldwide virus in a century — putting their own lives on the line to care for our parents and grandparents, our siblings, our children, our friends and coworkers.
