ELLSWORTH -- The Ellsworth Eagles scored another big win at home where they took on the Foxcroft Academy Ponies on Wednesday evening.

Early in the first half, the Eagles got on the board early now found themselves on the defense when the Ponies earned a free kick. Junior Eli Einhaus stepped up big for Ellsworth, blocking the kick point blank and helping to clear the ball upfield where the Eagles earned a penalty kick.

The kick was set up for senior Haven Contrneo who opted for a kick wide to the right, narrowly sneaking it past Ponies junior keeper Alex Schafberg to put the ponies up 2-0.

Once again, the Eagles found themselves on the defense of a Ponies free kick. This time, it was senior keeper Cooper Mitchell making the play as he flew high up into the air for an incredible save to
