LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The Las Vegas City Council is set to hold a disciplinary hearing against the owner of US Motel near Downtown Las Vegas after an emergency suspension of its business license.

Despite what the building’s sign says, there’s no vacancy. The motel, located on Fremont Street and Charleston Boulevard, sits nearly empty, with the only guest being a man watching over the property.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department conducted an emergency suspension of US Motel's business license after repeated serious criminal activity at the property. Over the past year, LVMPD responded to 21 calls, including sex trafficking of children, fentanyl sales and a man getting shot in the face, records showed.
