LAKE ROOSEVELT- Anglers at Lake Roosevelt should expect increased boat activity during the last week of October.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), along with the Spokane Tribe and Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, will be conducting the annual Fall Walleye Index Netting (FWIN), WDFW said in a release .
FWIN sampling has been a part of Washington’s efforts since 2002, focusing on monitoring walleye populations in several lakes, including Lake Roosevelt.
This initiative helps track the abundance, size and age structure of the walleye populations.
