A special honor was awarded to someone very close to the Disney and ABC family on Wednesday night.

"World News Tonight" anchor David Muir, presented Debra OConnell with the Gold Medal Award at the 2025 IRTS Hall of Mentorship Awards.

OConnell is President of News Group and Networks for the Walt Disney Company.
