ARCHER, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County commissioners say they want answers from Archer city leaders about the city’s financial crisis.
A letter from commission chair Chuck Chestnut on Wednesday asks for an update on the accounting progress Archer has made since a hidden debt of more than a million dollars was uncovered last year.
They also want a timeline to repay mis-spent county infrastructure surtax dollars and explain the accounting practices city managers now use.
