Former Bronson Police officer Travis Ferry put on a new uniform on Monday, Oct. 13, a work shirt for the Branch County Department of Public Works.
Ferry, 39, left the police department two weeks ago after 13 years in law enforcement, including just over four years with Bronson.
"I wanted more time at home with the family, to be around my kids, to see them grow up and to participate in my kids' lives," he said.
The 2005 Bronson High School graduate joined the Bronson Police in July 2021, just four months after he earned the 2021 American Legion Michigan State Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award while serving as a Union City officer.
