The West Las Vegas Library will close its doors next month in preparation for the opening of a new building that will more than double the library’s size and bring the latest, hands-on technology to the Historic Westside of Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District said this week it would begin sunsetting its services as staff transitions to the new West Las Vegas Library branch, 1861 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. The current location will close Nov. 24; the new library debuts Dec. 9.

Plans call for a 41,178-square-foot facility with cutting-edge technology, ample parking and expanded programming for patrons.
