SANFORD, Fla. – Drivers in Seminole and Volusia counties should expect delays Thursday on Interstate 4 as a series of “traffic pacing operations” will be conducted.

According to the Florida Department of Transportation, law enforcement will slow traffic on eastbound I-4 as early as 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to conduct work along the interstate.

Officers are expected to bring traffic to below 20 mph and possibly to a complete stop for short durations.

Drivers who attempt to enter eastbound I-4 near Lake Mary Boulevard may have to wait or follow law enforcement at a reduced speed.

Anyone who attempts to enter eastbound I-4 between County Road 46A and Dirksen Drive will be diverted off the interstate.
