Part of Bangor’s Hammond Street will be closed for sewer repair

Part of Hammond Street in Bangor will be closed Thursday.

That closure, near the intersection with 13th Street, will allow crews to repair a broken sewer line, according to an alert from the city.

Outbound drivers will need to detour onto Webster Avenue and then East Street before continuing down Hammond Street, while drivers inbound to downtown will need to detour onto East Street and then Webster Avenue before continuing on their way.

Drivers traveling down 13th Street to Hammond will be able to make a left turn but not a right.

The work will begin at 8 a.m. and continue most of the day.
