DEKALB COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people were killed and a third was wounded in a shooting in Baxter Wednesday night.

Deputies were called to Vickers Ridge Road Baxter, which is in the Austin Bottom area of DeKalb County, around 7:30 p.m.

When deputies arrived, they found a man and woman shot to death. A male victim was flown to a hospital for treatment but their condition was not immediately released.

The identities of the deceased victims will not be released until their families have been notified.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been called in to help with the investigation.
