Drivers will be faced with a detour next weekend of northbound Interstate-283 in Swatara Twp. for a bridge repair.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said a maintenance crew from Dauphin County will repair the deck on the bridge that carries northbound Interstate-283 to northbound Interstate-83 in Swatara Twp.

The work is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 26, weather permitting.

There will be a detour. Northbound I-283 traffic will exit to eastbound 322, continue east and exit at Pen-Har Drive, follow Pen-Har Drive back to westbound 322 then head west on 322 to northbound I-83.
