BOSSIER CITY, La. - Bossier Parish Community College issued an immediate shelter-in-place Thursday morning, urging everyone on campus to move to the nearest room, lock doors, stay away from windows and remain in place until an "All Clear" is given. It followed a nearby police chase and manhunt at Pepper Point Mobile Home Park in the 6200 block of East Texas Street.

School officials say anyone heading to the campus should turn around and wait for official notification lifting the alert. In a statement, BPCC administration said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution, stressing that safety is the top priority.
