On occasion, I’ll use this space to advocate for the things every community should get behind. In my next life, perhaps I’ll be a consultant for municipalities, but for now, I’ll continue offering a few humble suggestions. Here are some, a few that I’ve highlighted before, that I’ve been thinking about:

Litter/clutter patrol

Whether this involves town employees or volunteer task forces, there’s no reason every community shouldn’t be organizing some type of regular cleaning up. Yes, in a perfect world people would stop throwing coffee cups and other items out their windows, but in the absence of that miracle, our communities need to get cleaned up.
