One person is dead and four others were injured in a single-vehicle car crash Oct. 15.

According to the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to a rollover crash that morning just east of Baltic. An SUV “left the roadway and rolled” while driving east on 250 th Street near 472 nd Avenue, a press release stated.

One person was pronounced dead on the scene, the press release states, and four others were taken to an area hospital for injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the sheriff’s office, which was assisted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol as well as Baltic, Dell Rapids, Lyon and Garretson emergency responders.
