CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — The new U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia, Matthew L. Harvey, announced Thursday that the office will prioritize major federal issues, including the fentanyl crisis, violent crime, and immigration.

Harvey, who is visiting the district's four offices to meet staff and the media, noted he has not been given a single top priority. He said he is excited for the new role and the chance to join the "rock stars" staff of the Northern West Virginia U.S. Attorney’s Office and collaborate with law enforcement partners throughout the district.
