A woman said she heard at least eight shots ring out in one of two shootings overnight Tuesday that London police say could be connected.

Police say they are investigating two “targeted” shootings , one in the Whitehills neighbourhood in northwest London and a second near Western University that happened within 15 minutes of each other early Wednesday.

At about 12:25 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire on Homestead Court, northwest of the intersection of Wonderland Road North and Gainsborough Road, police said. They found evidence “multiple shots” had struck a residence, police said.

Four bullet holes are visible in the front door, a sidelight and door frame of a townhouse.
