CLAY COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) - It’s turning out to be a plentiful harvest for the Kreutz family farm. Along with corn and soybeans, the Kreutz family has raised five generations of farmers, including Ethan Kreutz.
“Every day is bring your kid to work day during harvest,” said Ethan Kreutz, father of four. “My relationship with God, my relationship with my family is the most important thing, and then farming comes after that.”
Ethan’s father, Dale Kreutz, often lets the grandkids sit with him in the combine. This is his 50th year of farming, but their family has been farming in Clay County for more than 150 years.
This year is a record-breaking season for them.
“There’s that old wives’ tale that you plant in the dust, your bins will bust,” Ethan said, while driving a load to the feed mill.
