BATTLE CREEK ― Harper Creek will be hosting Hall of Fame Night this week with Marshall coming to town for Week 8 of the high school football season. One of the inductees for this year's new class is longtime football coach Ed Greenman.

That seems appropriate, as Greenman made his name by coaching big games against Marshall, as those programs were often both ranked in the state when they faced off during the 1990s.

Greenman vs. the late Rich Hulkow, the Hall of Fame coach at Marshall, were must-see football games with legendary crowds there to take in the action.

The rivalry was cemented back then, and it continues today, as it is always the biggest game on the schedule for both sides.
