The Habit Burger & Grill will officially open a new restaurant in Claremont on Wednesday, Oct. 22.

But the Irvine-based chain will hold two previews on Saturday, Oct. 18 for its CharClub members and app users, according to a news release.

The “VIP events” will be at 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The first 200 guests will receive a free meal with a Charburger, fries and soft drink.

Founded in Santa Barbara in 1969, The Habit is known for its char-grilled hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, sides such as Tempura Green Beans, soft-serve shakes and in-house soft drinks. It recently added a Sirloin Steak Sandwich to its core menu and upgraded its salad menu earlier this year.

It is testing a trendy protein shake at one location in Fountain Valley while supplies last.
