The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has submitted its final report on the Titan submersible implosion in 2023, which killed all five people onboard. The report, which was submitted on Wednesday, said faulty engineering led to the implosion of the experimental submersible that was on its way to the wreck of the Titanic.
Faulty engineering
Faulty engineering of the Titan “resulted in the construction of a carbon fibre composite pressure vessel that contained multiple anomalies and failed to meet necessary strength and durability requirements,” the NTSB said.
Unaware of true durability
It also stated that OceanGate, the owner of the Titan, failed to adequately test
