Prospective Rangers manager Kevin Muscat has broken his silence for the first time since virtually securing the Ibrox position - and has emphasised he's fully committed to a championship battle with Shanghai Port.

Record Sport disclosed that the former Wolves defender has emerged victorious in the race to succeed Russell Martin in the Ibrox hot seat with a comprehensive agreement now established over a multi-year deal.

The Glasgow club are currently engaged in discussions with Port regarding a compensation package with the 52 year old tied to the Chinese Super League until December 2026.
