INWOOD -- Fourth-generation farmer Todd Butler has been named as the Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival's 2025 Honored West Virginian.

"I was very much surprised," Todd said, noting award recipients typically are of regional or even statewide importance, often with ties to the horticultural field. "Sen. Joe Manchin, along with several farmers, I know has received this award. It's quite an honor."

This is not the first award of note that he has received. In 2010, he was awarded the West Virginia Farming Heritage Award. Four years later, in 2014, he was given the West Virginia State Conservation Farm Award.
