INDIANA — The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host a series of Open Houses at numerous state forests across Indiana on October 28, 29, and 30, 2025. These events are designed to allow Hoosiers to learn about recreation opportunities and offer feedback on how the properties are managed for long-term health.
State Forester John Seifert emphasized the value of public participation: “These open houses provide Hoosiers with a chance to receive first-hand information about how state forests provide diverse wildlife habitat and recreational opportunities. They also allow us to receive valuable feedback from our neighbors and users about state forest management—I encourage everyone to participate.”
Each Open House runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the respective forest office. In
